It’s as obvious as the sun blaring in the summer sky, F1 over the last decade, at least, is all about the car. Gone are the days when F1 drivers are REAL F1 DRIVERS, with none of a single DNA of a “ballerina” or “diva”. Men who represented guts and glory. Remember that “one” driver who finished a race soaking wet in the cold, and suffering from hypothermia that his hands were literally frozen stuck on the steering wheel. That same driver got out of the car assisted by at least two people because he was almost dying. And yet, he never complained. And there’s another old timer of a driver who won 3 F1 championships in his metal F1 car that resembles a toothpaste tube with almost NO aero package at all!! And driver those days drive these type of F1 cars down the straight like hell. By the way, those cars were designed having the fuel tanks sitting at the back of the driver, to the left side of the driver, and another on his right side. These were men with big cahunas! And as Verstappen admitted that if you put Alonso in a more competitive car, he would surely would have fairer out differently.
